← Back to Hiking

The hills feel different at night: quieter, bigger, and with the lights of the valleys spread out below. A guided night hike takes a Peak District route you might know well by day and walks it after dark, by head torch, with the route chosen on the day for weather and conditions.

Along the way there's time to pick up how to move well in the dark: pacing, keeping a group together, and finding your way when the usual landmarks have gone. It's a good step towards longer days that start or finish in the dark, or simply a different way to see somewhere familiar.
